Willow
Run Ranch – Raising and training fine horses for trail
or pleasure riding, working cattle or competitive events.
Willow Run Ranch is a working horse ranch, with arena,
trails, camping, boarding,
and more.
We
also rent our 100’x200’ clear-span
riding arena for shows, clinics or practice.
Special arrangements
can be made to ride on our extensive local trails. Riding
and training lessons are available.
Arena
Willow Run Ranch's new 200' indoor
riding arena is available for shows, exhibitions and
riding practice. One of the largest arenas in southern
Ohio, it is heated for winter work. It measures 100'x200'
clearspan in the main area, with a five-foot, five-rail
fence enclosing a 94'x185' riding area bedded in clean
sand. We have a raised, enclosed and air-conditioned
50' skybox on one long side, completely equipped with
a wet-bar and restroom.
On the other long side is a stable area
with 12 12'x12' box stalls, tack room, men's and women's
restrooms with hot showers, and a washrack with hot and cold
water for putting the finishing touches on your prize horse.
There are stands for up to 60 people inside the arena. We
have trailer hookups with water and electricity for 12 trailers.
Sorry, no sewer attachments at the moment, but the hookups
are a short walk from the indoor restrooms and showers.
Riding arena We just completed a 32-box boarding stable a few
yards from our main area -- 10x12 stalls, three tack rooms,
two washracks, two grooming areas, and a shower/ bathroom! Turnouts
are being prepared next to the barn.
Trails
Our ranch sits on 200 acres of Southeast Ohio's
prettiest hill country. We have a network of trails suitable
for any rider, from beginning to advanced. Watch out for the
deer, turkey, occasional fox and other wildlife that teems
in these hills! All trail riders must be evaluated in the
arena before heading off into the wild.
WRR is happy to be associated with Ms. Jacqueline
Nadler, an experienced horsewoman, winning competition
rider and teacher.
Boarding
Boarding is sometimes available. Please contact the barn if you would like more information about boarding a horse at Willow Run.
Camping:
Primitive camping is permitted at selected sites
on the property. We have 12 camper hookups next to the arena
with water and 25 or 50 amp electricity. Restrooms and showers
available in the arena building.
